Foundation's National Program on Self-Determination for Persons
with Developmental Disabilities (SDPDD) provides funds to 19
states to carry out self-determination activities. The program
office is part of the Institute on Disability at the University
of New Hampshire. The office makes available financial
resources, technical assistance, and training support in
self-determination. Several monographs, a video, an introduction
to self-determination, and a National Public Radio broadcast are
available.

disabilities. This is accomplished through its accreditation
services, training programs, and research division.

VOR is a national organization
dedicated to ensuring that people with mental retardation and
their families are able to access a full array of quality
residential services and support options.

The Waisman Center is dedicated
to the advancement of knowledge about human development,
developmental disabilities, and neurodegenerative diseases
throughout the lifespan. The center is one of nine national
facilities that includes a Mental Retardation Developmental
Disabilities Research Center and a University Center for
Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
